The Implementation Manager leads our global implementation team collaborating closely with the Client Success Managers, managing a project plan, creating complex and efficient migration scripts and working heavily within Microsoft SQL server. The implementation Manager will be leveraging their expertise in SQL to meet the high demand of our enterprise clients. Open and ongoing communication with the assigned Client Success Managers is critical to help ensure a smooth and on schedule migration.

This role is hybrid remote and requires 1-3 days in our Mexico City Mexico office.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Implementation Manager is a leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of large-scale technical programs, projects and initiatives across multiple regions and countries. The role involves strong technical background leading a global team of implementation engineers to ensure successful delivery of projects within timelines, budgets and quality standards.

  1. Strategy development and planning: Developing and implementing a comprehensive technical implementation strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives. This may involve analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities for growth, creating project plans and timelines, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  2. Team management: Building and leading a global team of implementation engineers to ensure successful delivery of technical projects. This may involve hiring and training new staff, providing guidance and support to team members, and conducting performance reviews.
  3. Best Practices: Building and maintaining technical scripting best practices, runbooks, and standard operating procedures. Reviewing code with an eye for detail and scalability, checking query optimizer to ensure efficient coding practices, and paying close attention to record and table locks. A master of SSMS, SSIS, and Sys.Tables with a knack for upskilling your team.
  4. Quality control: Establishing and implementing quality control measures to ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest possible standards. This may involve developing and implementing standardized processes, conducting quality audits, and providing feedback.
  5. Risk management: Identifying and managing risks associated with project implementation, including financial, operational and reputational risks. This may involve conducting risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring risks throughout the process.
  6. Reporting and analysis: Developing and delivering regular reports on project progress, including budget and timeline updates, risk assessments, and quality control measures. This may involve analyzing data and identifying trends to inform decision-making and improve performance.

The Implementation Manager is a critical role that requires strong leadership, technical, communication, and project management skills. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects across multiple regions or countries, as well as experience in team management and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.

 

 WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical project management leadership position
  • 10+ years of experience building and maintaining MS SQL Server code (SSIS and SSMS)
  • Direct experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Experience building complete ETL/SSIS processes moving and transforming data
  • Proficient in how to deploy to and debug a production SSIS environment
  • Experience creating dynamic variable driven code that can be used across different projects
  • Experience adding programmatic validation checks into the code to fail or throw warnings when checks are out of balance during a data transformation or load process
  • Detail oriented, able to prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Problem solver who takes initiative and adds value with limited supervision
  • Confident, adaptable self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Quick learner, takes responsibility and happy to help wherever needed
  • Excellent English communication skills – written and verbal
