Job Summary: The Manager, Business Development will play a critical role in driving the success of our outbound prospecting strategy. This role requires a seasoned leader with a proven track record of managing and scaling BDR/SDR teams. You will be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive strategy to generate and qualify leads, leveraging tools like Clari and Groove to optimize team performance and pipeline growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage BDR/SDR Teams: Oversee and support a global team of Business Development Representatives and Sales Development Representatives, ensuring they meet and exceed performance targets.
- Develop and Execute Outbound Prospecting Strategy: Create, implement, and continuously refine a robust outbound prospecting strategy that drives lead generation and sales pipeline growth.
- Leverage Sales Tools: Utilize tools such as Clari and Groove to monitor team performance, optimize outreach efforts, and ensure accurate pipeline forecasting.
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development opportunities to BDR/SDR teams, enhancing their skills in prospecting, qualification, and closing techniques.
- Collaboration with Sales Leadership: Work closely with the sales leadership team to align prospecting efforts with overall sales goals and objectives, ensuring a seamless transition from lead generation to deal closure.
- Performance Analysis: Regularly analyze team performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and results.
- Market Research and Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform prospecting strategies and identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, with at least 2 years in a management role overseeing BDR/SDR teams.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience selling complex products and services into senior leader roles at Fortune 1000 companies.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building and executing outbound prospecting strategies that drive significant and consistent quality pipeline growth.
- Sales Tools Expertise: Proficient in using Clari, Groove, Salesforce, and other sales tools to manage teams and optimize performance.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a global team to achieve high performance.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, with a deep understanding of the sales process and how to align prospecting efforts with business goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
