Sr. Marketing Content Manager


The Sr. Marketing Content Manager is responsible for PRGX’s marketing content initiatives, both internal and external, across all platforms and formats, to drive engagement, sales and customer retention. This individual is an expert in all things related to content, channel optimization, brand consistency, segmentation, localization and content analytics. The Sr. Marketing Content Manager collaborates across functions and departments to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives at an efficient marketing ROI. The role requires a basic understanding of SEO and content categorization & structure, and more extensive experience with content development, distribution and measurement.



The Sr. Marketing Content Manager will operate like a publisher and journalist by leading the development of content initiatives in all forms to drive new and current business, including:


Content Management:

  • Mapping out a content strategy that supports marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, and determining which methods work and why, including:
    • Clearly defining content distribution during particular stages of the buying cycle for lead nurturing
    • Identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities for existing customers, and developing content targeted for those types of buying cycles
  • Developing and maintaining a content calendar across verticals, including:
    •  Identifying themes and topics and executing a plan to develop the assets that support a point of view
    •  Working with the marketing programs team to integrate content activities within marketing campaigns
  • Expanding our content library, both as a writer and an editor to others in the business, including third-party agencies
    • Collaborating with the design team to ensure content is packaged effectively to drive engagement, yet consistent to company brand standards
    • Developing shareable content, appropriate for targeted B2B personas and specific networks, to grow our content library, brand awareness and pipeline
  • Continuously measuring and optimizing of the all aspects of the company’s content program, including development of presentations on the program approaches and results

Social Media Management:

  • Building and managing the company’s social media profiles and presence, including LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Regularly running social campaigns and promotions to drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence
  • Working with the marketing programs team to integrate social media activities within marketing campaigns
  • Tracking the effectiveness of all social media programs

Accountable for ensuring all content is:

  • On-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
  • Optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile, video, print and in-person, across multiple buyer personas

Ensuring content developed in an organized fashion by:

  • Developing standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing
  • Serving as an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style
  • Establishing workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content
  • Managing the maintenance of content inventories
  • Ensuring consistent global experience by managing appropriate localization and translation

Gathering data to make recommendations to improve content strategies based on results of content effectiveness, including metrics such as:

  • Social media traffic growth and positive sentiment
  • Conversion metrics improvement and growth
  • Increases in key search engine keyword rankings
  • Improvement in sales/buying cycles
  • Improvement in win rate



  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in multichannel content creation (i.e., publishing, journalism, etc.)
  • Experience with creating compelling messages for B2B professional services or technology
  • Financial services, banking or fintech industry experience a plus
  • Multilingual abilities (specifically Spanish and French) a plus
  • Desired content development experience:
    • Skill at both long-form (i.e., white papers) and short-form (i.e. web copy, social media) content creation and distribution strategies and tactics
    • Strong understanding of what an audience needs to know and how they want to consume it
    • Ability to articulate business goals behind creation of a piece or series of content
    • Experience creating a resource or library of content organized indicating SEO, version control, and translations
  • Desired management/leadership skills:
    • Ability to define and manage projects involving diverse contributors and content types
    • Strong project management skills for managing editorial schedules and deadlines
  • Desired marketing skills:
    • Familiarity with principles of marketing
    • Audience development experience a plus
  • Desired techcnology skills:
    • Expertise in all major business software applications (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.)
    • Fluency in web analytics tools (Google Analytics), social media marketing applications (HootSuite, Oktopost, etc.) and leading social media monitoring platforms (Radian6, etc.)
    • Passion for continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutions
