PRGX is looking for a Full-Time FREIGHT ANALYST (Hybrid) to join our Team.

SUMMARY:
The Freight Analyst will be responsible for auditing and processing logistics invoices across all modes of transportation, including Imports, Inbound, Intermodal and Small Parcel. This position will research and audit freight shipments and its invoice payment information against our clients’ contracts, terms, and applicable rates. The goal is to identify billing discrepancies and verify overpayments made by our clients and recovery and reduce overpayments and inaccurate billings to improve profitability.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze and interpret carrier freight contracts and audit invoice payment information.
• Research and identify invoices that are not in compliance with the contractual pricing and service agreements.
• Investigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicate carrier billing.
• Audit carrier freight bills and interpret tariffs and contracts.
• Audit beyond specific tools/reports by applying auditing experience and a wide variety of claim approaches.
• Ability to understand and discuss essential freight documentation that supports charges invoices and required for payment.
• Works with audit management to assist in the development of the audit plan(s), project design, and data requirements.
• Assist in client reporting.
• Document audit process.
• Share best practices.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• College Diploma specializing in Business, Finance or Accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 1-2 years in progressively complex transportation systems experience in a technical setting associated to a transportation/logistics carrier or customer service environment.
• Knowledge of shipping modes and applicable rates/pricing including tariffs and discounts.
• A high level of analytical skills to evaluate and process carrier requests and to understand the client’s operational and data processing systems.
• Ability to understand and discuss essential freight documentation that supports charges invoices and required for payment.
• Ability to work well as an individual and team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Advanced computer skills in Excel and Access required.
